The E90’s cooling system is its best-known weak point. If you’re replacing the expansion tank, do the whole system while the coolant is drained:
- Parts: expansion tank (Rein or OEM supplier), water pump + thermostat, upper & lower radiator hoses, 1 gallon BMW blue coolant (mix 50/50 with distilled water)

The E90 loves square setups for track work and staggered setups for street stance. Front strut clearance is the limiting factor — stay at ET30 or higher up front unless you’re running added camber.
